Rainy track riding training with The Race Syndicate @ KartX track. I was there to help the team and was given the responsibility of Track Marshall. Making sure everyone understood and respected the track rules.
As a Track Marshal, I handled timekeeping for track sessions for both the Red and Green batches of students. The most important thing was ensuring the safety of the riders on the track. This means controlling how and when the riders go out onto the track, keeping watch over fast and slow riders, directing some riders back into the pits to make space or directing them if I observe unsafe riding.
In case of a crash, I ensure the flags are shown immediately so riders are aware and brought back into the pits, the crashed rider is safe, the bike is moved safely, the track is cleared, and the session continues. These may look like normal activities, but in a highly intense, adrenaline-fueled environment, keeping track of all of them simultaneously is the most crucial thing. Also kudos to all the riders for following the rules and instructions.

Glad I didn't have to black flag anyone.
Saimah and Jatin - The Race Syndicate are creating something riders have been missing: a training program aimed at coaching and training for track riding. The absence of an FIA-level, or even a proper Superbike-capable, race track around the Pune/Mumbai region means we have to train on go-karts and smaller tracks. It builds the required skills, but we would love to have a proper motorcycle racetrack. A huge shout-out to them for enabling this and providing a stepping stone for young and talented riders to improve their skills. I am glad to be a small part of that.
