2 weeks of heavy rainfall led to waterlogging and floods in many surrounding areas of Pune. Continuous rains meant no rides on weekends.
This week the forecast was light rains, so we decided to try our luck and get our riding gear a bit wet. On the recommendation of a fellow rider, we decided to try out Purandar Fort (about 60km from Pune). The effect of the heavy rains was evident on the highway.
Potholes, mud, and the tar been washed away at many places. We expected this to continue all throughout, but the roads closer to the fort turned out to be perfect. We never expected the fort to be also an Army training base.
So security was tight, and no photography of army personnel, establishment or equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed the ride through clouds, rain, and mud.
You go ahead and watch the video, while I wash the bike, jacket, gloves, helmet, and camera. Everything is covered in mud.
